📗Summer reading hookup Slipping into the summer season is different for everyone. Yet there is a common thread that connects our summer aspirations. For most, it is a time to slow down, take a vacay or stay-cay, and a time to connect with a something that meets our desires. We recommend reading: Finding the Mother Tree, by Suzanne Simard.
As one of the world's leading forest ecologist, Suzanne's scientific journey into the forests is magical. It will make your heart leap and your imagination sing. Trees in the forest do not only interact with one another, they communicate through webs of fungal filaments. She discovered that mother trees help coordinate a strong network that protects, heals, feeds, and sustains the other forest members. It's a fascinating and science-based odyssey that feeds the soul. Cheers to indulging the imagination in a very honest way!

🗣️Psychedelics are saving lives Psilocybin is the scientific name for magic mushrooms. MDMA is the scientific name for ecstacy, and Vitamin K or ketamine was an anesthesia used originally for animals and also on the battlefields during the Vietnam War. There are many more psychedelics such as LSD, DMT, and ayahuasca. Most are made from plants, and they can also be made in laboratories. Ketamine clinics in the U.S. number over 400 and counting.
Considerable venture capital money is being invested as these medicines, with over $200 million so far. Advocates believe they are providing the only form of relief for many patients with anxiety, migraines, cluster headaches, depression, severe PTSD and suicidal dispositions, and alcohol and opioid additions. Mental health is vital to the wellness and survival of families, business, economies and countries. Last month, Numinous (TSE: NUMI) acquired Novamind in an effort to address mental health needs most effectively. A California bill to legalize psychedelics, SB 519 has strong support from many in the healthcare profession and those in the military, as the plant medicine has had good results treating PTSD.

🏆IKEA's first urban store Leadership is seldom easy, and IKEA is on a mission to become the leader in the greening of entire supply chain and circular economy. It has goals to be plastic packaging free by 2028, to offer 50% plant-based foods in their restaurants by 2030, use zero-emission fuels for shipping by 2040, and be net zero by 2050. YES!
In the summer of 2021, IKEA opened their first urban store, which is a big departure from their original pattern of buying cheap land with a big parking area in the outskirts and shoppers had to drive quite a distance to buy at the stores. The IKEA store in Vienna, Austria is seven stories tall and is designed specifically not to use a car. It offers no parking, has over 150 large trees, hyper-efficient heating and cooling system, solar power, beehives, birds nests, a two-story hotel/hostel, and offers next day delivery using emission free EVs.#leadership
🎉Making strides Renewable energy capacity around the globe increased in 2021. According to IEA (International Energy Agency), the world collectively added 295 gigawatts of green energy capacity, with solar energy leading the way. There was an increase in demand for biofuels also.
Gains from Europe, India, Latin America and Africa/Middle East had the greatest impact. The U.S. was about the same from 2020.
