🚐Rivian EVs roll out for Amazon Amazon has started rolling out its custom electric delivery vehicles (EDVs) manufactured by Rivian (ticker symbol: RIVN). By the end of the year, Amazon plans to have more than 1,000 of them delivering packages across more than 100 cities in the U.S., including Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, Seattle, and St. Louis.
Amazon aims to have up to 100,000 Rivian delivery EVs on U.S. roads, running last-mile deliveries, by 2030. This innovative partnership started in 2019 when Amazon committed to decarbonizing its business, and using Rivian delivery EVs is one of many steps Amazon plans to take as it works towards achieving its climate goal.

⏩Ultra fast EV charging ADS-TEC Energy Inc., a manufacturer of battery solutions and fast charging and energy management systems, launched an ultra-fast EV charging station at an ESSO filling station in Stuttgart in Europe last week, and the technology is breath-taking.
The ultra-fast charging station, called ChargeBox, charges EVs in minutes and can even step up power from power-limited grids to charge multiple fast-charging electric cars. The ChargeBox can also recharge itself while charging EVs and comes in a very small size, making the installation of EV charging stations in densely populated areas like New York possible. It has entered a partnership deal with an ultra-fast charging solutions operator, JOLT, to bring EV charging to 5,000 filling stations across Europe and the US in the coming year.

✨Lucid is the lux EV Lucid Motors (ticker symbol: LCID) made $97.3 million from selling just 679 luxury-electric vehicles, according to the financial results for its second quarter of 2022 announced last week. Reservations for Lucid Air also increased by over 7,000. But Lucid said it would only produce 6,000 to 7,000 EVs this year, down from the original forecast of 20,000 in February.
The California-based EV company blamed supply chain and logistics challenges for the shortfall in production. As a result, Lucid has only produced 1,405 EVs since January, which is far below expectations, and we wonder if it will even meet the newest target by the end of the year.
🤞Keeping faith in crypto Crypto and NFTs are presently facing a nightmare, but Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood still believes in them. Cathie Wood was with CNBC's Squawk Box to discuss the fate of digital assets, crypto and decentralized finance (DeFi).
The investment magnate praised DeFi's robust ecosystem and said that both NFTs and DeFi would be incredible financial opportunities when Web3 comes. Cathie Wood is also betting on digital wallet investments to help lift people out of poverty.
🌞Cutting edge solar tech Terabase Energy uses software and robots to design, construct, and install solar power plants. The Berkeley, CA-based solar technology startup recently completed a mega renewable project in Texas, where it used robots to install solar panels producing 10 megawatts of clean energy. The project was cost-effective and quickly completed, and Terabase Energy's solution can help the world deploy power grid-scale renewable electricity.
With about $55 million now in its pocket, Terabase Energy will install hundreds of megawatts of solar power with robots next year. They are also hiring!
