🌿O-H-I-O says yes to cannabis On November 7th, 57% of Ohio voters said yes to allowing cannabis to be legally available to the adult population over 21 years old. Known as Issue 2, the ballot initiative was devised and approved by the citizenry, not state legislators. Fourteen states have now legalized adult-use of cannabis via initiative ballot.
Ohio is now the 24th state in the U.S. to support a change of attitude toward cannabis, and what benefits the plant offers. Retail licenses will not be issued right away, but as of December 7 2023, adult Ohioans can legally possess and grow cannabis on their person and at their homes. Experts estimate that Ohio's market will rise to $2 billion, contributing around $260 million annually to Ohio's public benefit programs.
🍁Gallup Poll Throughout most of October, the Gallup Poll organization conducted a survey of opinions on cannabis within the U.S., specifically asking: Should use of marijuana be legal? Seven of ten said yes.
Did it matter if those surveyed were male or female? Or where they lived in the U.S., or their education levels, their political affiliation, age, race, ideology...? It did not, a majority of over 52% in each category believe that cannabis should be legal.
💰Ethereum crypto update BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager made an Ethereum move on November 9. The move created a value surge of 10% for the cryptocurrency. The asset management behemoth registered an Ethereum Trust and a spot Ethereum ETF. This provides feedback to the world that BlackRock is committed to crypto in a variety of ways. Stay tuned!

🧑⚖️Meta sued by 42 AGs This has been a longtime coming for Facebook and Instagram, now called Meta. Very recently, Massachusetts Attorney General, Andrea Joy Campbell filed a lawsuit against Meta claiming:
"Over the past decade, Defendant Meta Platforms Inc. (“Meta”) has intentionally designed its flagship social media platforms, especially Instagram, to be addictive to youth, preying upon young people’s unique psychological vulnerabilities and overcoming their ability to decide how much time they spend on Meta’s platforms."
The AG is holding Meta Platforms CEO, Mark Zuckerberg accountable for ignoring and stopping reports from top executives within the organization. "CEO of Instagram, and the President of Global Affairs both asked Zuckerberg directly to take more steps to protect more than 30 million children across the country who use Instagram." The AG further contents that she has proof that the reason that CEO Zuckerberg did not protect teens was for financial profit.
🌞Federal tax credit for solar A handsome Federal tax credit is available from 2023-2032 at the residential level. The standalone power wall receives 30% tax credit which helps in the bank account, and increases property value while providing some power independence and resiliency. Something to consider.
Stay Curious... Who are we?
Fun question of the day:
Do you trust Meta Platforms?
Who are we?
Do you like rollercoasters?
10% of respondents said YES
