😎Cadillac style coming in EV splendor In the internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, Cadillac was the most luxurious ride to experience in the US. Now it's taking us on a ride with their EV version. The 2025 Escalade IQ will be available by late 2024. It's pulling out all the stops with a starting price of around $130K.
Cadillac promises that the Escalade IQ will offer 450 miles of range, which allows for nearly 7 hours of driving without needing to recharge. The full-size SUV-EV has heated, ventilated and massaging seats, 40 speakers, a 55" screen across the front dash board, and 24" wheels. If you want to learn more, there is an opportunity to take a one-on-one tour with a live agent.
The longevity of this iconic "American" brand dates back to 1903. With 120 years of mobility, it's great to see how it is adjusting to the needs and challenges of the 21st Century.
👍Cargo e-bike review If you want to ride long and quiet, this e-bike might be just what you're looking for. The Velotric Packer can take two youngsters to school according to the review by Electrek. The price tag nears $2K for this Class 2 e-bike. Velotric states the bike has a 50-mile range on a single charge; and of course pedal power is always an option. Trying new things is part of what makes life fun. Whether you buy one or not, you owe it to yourself to try one!
🍎Apple software version 16.6.1 update If you haven't already, find the time now to install Apple's latest software update, 16.6.1 which protects against the malicious Pegasus spyware. This evil malware comes to the unsuspecting victim through iMessage and then takes control of the device. According to University of Toronto laboratory and watchdog group, Citizen Lab, "a hidden code in the text message allows the spyware to take over the device’s functions without any interaction from the victim."
💘Aiming for the heart of the matter California has filed a lawsuit against 5 global oil companies: Shell, BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips and Exxon-Mobil. The golden state is also suing the American Petroleum Institute, the largest lobbyist for the domestic oil market. On September 16, the State Attorney General, Rob Bonta said:
“Oil and gas companies have privately known the truth for decades — that the burning of fossil fuels leads to climate change — but have fed us lies and mistruths to further their record-breaking profits at the expense of our environment. Enough is enough.”
On September 17, there was a vibrant rally in NYC with 75,000 climate activists gathering for the March to End Fossil Fuels. The heart of the matter is full accountability now for decades of lies and damages. Mother Earth needs all of us to defend her. Let's get loud, Planet Activists!
