😅Hockey's NHL gets hydration sponsor BioSteel, a Toronto-headquartered sports hydration company, makes the cleanest, most sustainable sports drink in North America. The company last week entered into its first-ever multi-year partnership with the National Hockey league (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) to be their official hydration partner. BioSteel also has vegan products for vegan players and for other vegan athletes and customers.
Tap the link to read the May 10, 2021 issue of AGREEN1, where there is terrific content on Canopy Growth becoming the majority stakeholder of Biosteel. Professional athletes may be the ones demonstrating that cannabis molecules are not destructive as we were all told. In fact, it might just be the exact opposite.

⌚Walmart's delivery with EVs Walmart's eCommerce venture is now the second-largest in the U.S. and it keeps growing daily. The world's largest retailer is expanding its delivery network for online orders with a new deal with Arkansas-based EV startup, Canoo, NASDAQ: GOEV.
Walmart agreed to purchase 4,500 all-electric delivery vehicles from the company. This is expected to help Walmart reach 80% of the U.S. population with same-day delivery. Canoo will start producing the EV towards the end of the year, and Walmart could increase its purchase to 10,000 units in the future. The deal also strengthens Walmart's sustainability promise of net-zero emissions by 2040.
🚁Walmart's delivery with drones Mobile ordering plus cheap and fast deliveries equal convenience! Over the past year, Walmart has been working to resolve delivery delays on orders placed on its mobile app with drone service provider, DroneUp.
By the end of the year, 34 Walmart stores in Arizona, Arkansas, Virginia, Florida, Texas, and Utah, will use drones to deliver items to customers within 30 minutes of placing orders on the Walmart app. The retail giant expects the new air delivery network to serve up to 4 million U.S. households. The drones will deliver items weighing up to 10 pounds from Monday through Friday, between 8 A.M. and 8 P.M at a fee of $3.99.
How else can you define convenience?

👟Sneaker company backed by the FED Run On recycled shoes! What?? FED is tennis GOAT, Roger Federer and he has partnered with On, a Swiss athletic shoe and performance sportswear company, since 2019. This summer, On will release its first-ever fully recyclable sneakers called Cloudneo, available only to Cyclone subscribers on the brand's website.
Subscribers can ask for new Cloudneos every six months to exchange used ones, which On will recycle into new products. Cloudneo are made from castor beans, the same plant that castor oil comes from. On plans to also launch other sustainable and fully recyclable products soon, so stay tuned!
🥩Beyong Meat steak A new product is coming! Leadership from the plant-based California company Beyond Meat was interviewed at the Wall Street Journal's Global Food Forum on June 29. CEO Ethan Brown revealed that his company would launch whole-cut vegan steak later this year. The whole-cut vegan steak will come in slices, and Ethan said it is probably one of their best products to date.
Unshaken by the current disruptions in the plant-based meat industry, Ethan aims to make Beyond Meat the most successful plant-based company on Earth. It trades on the NASDAQ exchange under the ticker symbol: BYND.
🌲Vermont legal cannabis coming in Octber Vermont is almost ready for its legal recreational cannabis market, scheduled to open on October 1. The state's Cannabis Control Board has issued 34 cultivation licenses since June 1, and it intends to keep cultivator licenses low, allowing up to 40 approved cultivators when the market opens.
The board has also started accepting license applications from wholesalers and manufacturers, and qualified applicants will begin receiving their licenses in September. Vermont became the eleventh state to legalize adult-use cannabis on October 7, 2020. State officials expect the legal market to generate up to $225 million annually by 2025. AGREEN1 will track the development and projections.
