🎉Clean power coming New Mexico has a new claim to fame. It is where the US will create the largest clean energy infrastructure project ever. As we all lean into a greener-cleaner future, this historic project will provide clean energy to the country's power grid. The project is called the SunZia Transmission Project.
With a goal of 80% renewable energy sources for total consumption in the US by 2030; this project is more than a kick start. New Mexico, Arizona and California will all receive clean and affordable energy from this 4.5 gigawatt project. It is estimated to bring $20.5 billion in economic benefits and requires 2,000 people to complete the project in 2026.

🚘Tesla 3 "refresh" With the first Tesla Model 3 launching in 2017, the iconic EV has held up very well for seven years. The refreshed model was designed under the code name "Project Highland" and was recently released to the European market. The exterior front was slightly redesigned to be more aerodynamic to increase battery range. The red color was changed to Ultra Red and is now more vibrant.
Inside the EV is where more changes were made. In the backseat area, there is now an 8" touchscreen and the seats have more cushioning. The interior is quieter, the bluetooth performance is improved and there are now 17 speakers, adding 3 to the earlier Model 3. The front seats are ventilated and the truck space increased by 33 liters, or about 1 cubic foot. The refreshed version has not been launched in North America yet.
🌿Cannabis reclassification In 2022 the Biden Administration requested the DEA to review how cannabis is scheduled at the federal level. This is especially important now that 23 US states have voted to make cannabis legal for adult use. That amounts to almost 50% of US states and a clear majority of the US population already approving it for legal adult usage.
Most feel that it's well past time for the federal government to reschedule from Schedule 1 to Schedule 3, or even "deschedule" cannabis. Removing cannabis from Schedule 1 will enable more research, allow for better banking relationships and help cannabis businesses receive the same tax breaks that other businesses benefit from. Let's hope the DEA gets a clue.
💸Bitcoin mining Three of the the four largest bitcoin mining companies are listed on the NASDAQ exchange. RIOT is Riot Platforms, CIFR is Cipher Mining, Inc and WULF is TeraWulf, Inc. Interestingly, the world's largest investment company, BlackRock (BLK on NYSE) is buying big quantities of those stocks in the dip.
The July 24 issue of AGREEN1 shared that BlackRock received SEC approval for a Bitcoin ETF. This will offer investors exposure to Bitcoin without buying the cryptocurrency on a cryptocurrency exchange like Coinbase or Gemini. That was less than 2 months ago, and now it has been reported that the behemoth is buying large quantities of the largest bitcoin mining companies. See how they run, yes?
