About the Wednesday Interview Issues...
We will share exclusive interviews with the top brass in forward-leaning companies, giving our readers the opportunity to learn about successful enterprises that are destined for even greater success.
AGREEN1 recently conducted an interview with Josh Crossney, Director of Cannabis Events with MJH Life Sciences. Josh launched the Cannabis Science Conference in 2016. It was acquired by MJH Life Sciences in 2022, the world's leading healthcare media organization with over 1,200 meetings and live events every year.
Here is Part 2 of the two part interview...
AGREEN1: What's on your agenda for 2022?
JOSH: There's so much happening in 2022, and yes, I'll give you all the details. Coming up in May is the 2022 Cannabis Science Conference West. It will be held at the Long Beach Convention Center May 18-20.
AG1: What types of speakers will there be?
JOSH: Lots of doctors! For example, Dr. Bonni Goldstein is an MD, and she is the Medical Director of Canna-Centers Wellness & Education. It's a California-based medical practice devoted to educating patients about the use of cannabis for serious and chronic medical conditions. She has a special interest in treating children with intractable epilepsy, autism, cancer and other conditions. She will describe her experience.
AG1: That makes me think of Sophie Ryan and her story with brain cancer
JOSH: Funny you should mention that. Dr. Anahid Jewett is another speaker. She is a UCLA School of Dentistry and Medicine Professor and she is also the Director of Tumor Immunology Laboratory. She will discuss her journey with Sophie, Sophie's mother and their road to treat Sophie's cancer with cannabis.

AG1: Anything on the endocannabinoid system?
JOSH: That's a good word for your readers to learn. It's a very important system and yet it's never taught in school! Every mammal has an endocannabinoid system (ECS) which controls and regulates so many functions related to pain, temperature control, immunity, sleep, eating, inflammation, memory and more. Dr. Swathi Varanasi is a pharmacist who specializes in integrative health. She has vast knowledge of how cannabis is beneficial on multiple levels. She is the Chief Scientific Officer of Element Apothec. She will cover the endocannabinoid system, emotional dysregulation, and the gut-brain axis.
AG1: Can anyone attend, is it open to the public?
JOSH: It sure is. This is the link to purchase tickets: Register. It's informative and the environment is very supportive. We always have plenty of celebrities attending who love cannabis and science separately and even more so when it's mixed together. They all have positive personal stories about how cannabis helped them.
🍁The story of the 420 Day Holiday Did you know that "420" is code for smoking weed? It all started fifty-one years ago, in 1971, with five high school students in San Rafael, CA. Collectively they decided that 4:20 p.m. was the perfect time to meet up to get high. (Sounds like a teenage version of the adult after work beer.) The fivesome also gave themselves a nickname: the Waldos, because they met at a certain wall to puff away. And at that place and time, they would consume their cannabis.
How does this minor event turn into a global holiday for cannabis lovers? Well, have you heard of the legendary rock band called the Grateful Dead? If you haven't, you are missing out on some of the finest "Americana" culture, so we urge (order) you to tap the green Grateful Dead link and listen to some Grateful Dead music. Your inner-hippie will thank you! Remember, fifty-one years ago, cannabis was very illegal and code words were needed. Eventually one of the Waldos worked as a roadie with the band and the 420 reference became incorporated in the Grateful Dead universe. Essentially, the Grateful Dead and their followers were like the bees spreading the pot code lingo in pollination fashion across the U.S. and the globe. Now every April 20th (420) is the global day for cannabis lovers to celebrate... and dispensaries have GREAT discounts!

🌳Earth Day 2022 is Friday! It started in 1970, over half a century ago. This day turned into a global cause which has been organizing for the protection of the environment and for promoting global carbon neutrality. Have a look at the Earth Day website. It has a great video of Walter Cronkite announcing the first Earth Day.
According to the site, Senator Gaylord Nelson from Wisconsin, who had long been concerned about the deteriorating environment in the U.S., convinced Rep. Pete McCloskey and Denis Hayes to organize college campus teach-ins on April 22. They were sick and tired of the environmental disrespect and damage, in particular the ;January 1969 massive oil spill in Santa Barbara, California.
This struggle to protect our planet continues. Believe that we can turn the tide and finally make AGREEN1 permanent.
