🕸️New internet and it's called Web3 We are about to experience a new internet version called Web3, which is currently a concept. But in what way will it be different from the current internet version? How will it impact our use of the internet?
According to the people behind the concept, Web3 will be a hybrid of the first two internet versions, combining the best features such as interaction and now decentralization to "democratize the world wide web". Currently, search engines completely control access to the internet. As we have learned many years after the fact, internet companies track us and obtain our personal data for their enormous economic gains without our permission.
But with Web3, we will be in control of how we use the internet and how we interact with each other. Our information will be more privatized, similar to how crypto blockchains work. This is another reason why blockchain is important to understand. AGREEN1 helps our subscribers stay on top of their technology so they can integrate it in the best way for them. It's all becoming more individualized.

👀A new web browser and search engine Brave is making a difference for millions of people. According to a review by techradar.com, the Brave browser is three times faster than Chrome and more secure than Firefox. Most important, the Brave browser does not collect users’ data, and it blocks all ads and trackers from every website users visit, unless users specifically allow for that to occur.
Brave also rewards users who choose to review its Private Ads with a BAT (Basic Attention Token). This is a crypto asset that users can keep like any other crypto asset. They can even use to tip their favorite content publishers. The Brave browser works on Mac OS X EI Capitan 10.11.0 and Windows 7 and later versions.&Brave’s mobile software works on Android version 5 and later and iOS version 13 and later.
🧿Protect yourself! While many tech companies implement policies and build software to defeat ad tracking, every day advertising trackers look for users’ data to steal. YOU can ensure the safety of your data by installing privacy-focused extensions on your Google Chrome or Apple’s Safari browsers. If you use the Edge, Firefox, or Brave browser, strengthen your privacy by changing your Privacy Settings through their main menu.

💰Do you want to be paid in cryptocurrency? When the United States government approves cryptocurrency as a valid currency, many employees will likely want their wages and salaries in bitcoin, ethereum or other digital currencies.
Employers must know how cryptocurrency and blockchain work and whether the U.S. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) allows them to pay wages and salaries in cryptocurrency. Employers must also understand the nature of cryptocurrencies, including how blockchain technology might influence the employment setting in the future. Currently, it would be acceptable, but only if both employer and employee agree to this form of payment.
🎤Rapper Eminem lays out $462K for a NFT American award-winning rapper Marshall Mathers, known popularly as Eminem, likes NFTs. Last month he purchased one of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs on the OpenSea platform for 12.345 ether, which is almost $462,000. This is not the only NFT Eminem owns. Eminem now has 15-20 NFTs. Since childhood he liked collecting all knots of things, and clearly he's a believer in NFTs. He has his own line of NFTs called Shady Con on the Nifty Gateway platform.
His career took off in the late 1990's, and it was very impactful. He's still relevant and he will be performing in the halftime show at the Superbowl LVI on February 13 in Los Angeles.

📈Turning to the cannabis market 2021 was an incredible year for the cannabis industry in the U.S. and Canada. More states in the U.S. approved cannabis sales and consumption, while states that legalized the market before 2021 generated remarkable revenues.
Canada, which legalized cannabis countrywide in 2018, also recorded growth in revenue from the cannabis industry in 2021, and the market in Canada grew from $2.6 billion CAD in 2020 to a little over $4 billion CAD in 2021. Headset, a cannabis data company, predicts the U.S. cannabis market will grow over to $30 billion in 2022, and projects the Canadian cannabis market to surpass $5 billion CAD in 2022.
📈Illinois cannabis sales for 2021 The latest annual sales record published on January 3 by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (DFPR) for 2021 shows that Illinois made a record-high $137 million from recreational cannabis sales in December 2021, and medical cannabis sales reached $35.4 million. The state generated up to $1.78 billion from both medical and recreational cannabis sales in 2021.
👍New Mexico cannabis is issuing permits After several efforts to legalize adult-use cannabis, New Mexico finally has the market up and running! The New Mexico Cannabis Control Division issued its first-ever adult-use cannabis cultivation licenses to three businesses last week. The Department expects the companies to launch sales of adult-use cannabis by April 2022, and it plans to license more cannabis businesses and micro-businesses in the near future.
⚖️California cannabis market Over taxation on legal cultivations is a major problem, and those rates just increased again in January 2022 from $9.65 to $10.08 per dry-weight ounce. This has given the illegal cannabis market almost three times as much market share as the legal cannabis market. Some state senators, particularly Senator Mike McGuire fear most small-scale cultivators might go out of business soon if the state continues to tax cultivators. He will introduce a new bill in 2022 to remove the state cannabis cultivation tax.
♻️New York cannabis smarts Senator Michelle Hinchey proposed a new bill, S7508, to create an industrialized hemp industry that will focus on manufacturing biodegradable hemp-based packaging materials for all cannabis products made in New York. She remarked that the industry would help reduce environmental wastes, create opportunities for farmers, and improve New York's economy. Sen. Hinchey hopes the Legislature will pass her bill in its next sitting in January 2022. We do too!

🧵Sustainable fashion is now The American entertainment industry executive Thomas Freston once said, “Innovation is taking two things that exist and putting them together in a new way.” For Los Angeles-based,Tristan Detwiler, it meant taking quilts and turning them into fashionable clothes.
Tristan’s journey into mainstream fashion started in 2018 when he joined the Baumann Quilters of Olivenhain, a group of women who have been quilting for decades. Along with his mother who made him his first repurposed piece of clothing, this group of women helped Tristan develop his sewing skills and inspired his collection. After two years Tristan officially launched his first line called Stan. It's expensive and Tristan’s work has attracted the media and top fashion directors who praised his artistry. We praise his consideration for reusing and recycling in a highly artistic way... Yeah, Tristan!
