Hello Geos For those leaning enthusiastically forward into the green revolution, there are net zero-energy communities (ZEC) being built. An all-electric Colorado development called Geos, where the typical monthly utility bill is under $10, is a case in point.
The original concept around 2008 was to build 300 green homes. This was reduced to 28, and the first of the 28 sustainably-minded homes at Geos was completed in 2017. Norbet Klebl, the founder of Geos has left that business. He parlayed his electric home knowledge, and has co-founded GeoSolar Technologies, a service to retrofit existing homes.
Like the new homes in Geos, the idea behind retrofitting existing homes remains with the need to have an air-tight exterior to reduce interior temperature swings in the winter and summer times. Next is the need for solar energy collection, and drilling into the Earth's geothermal heating abilities. These two require solar panels, and heat pumps that provide heating and cooling in one system.
According to the GeoSolar website, it is different from solar panel retrofitting this way: "It uses photovoltaic (PV) solar panels but also includes a geothermal system, electric car charging station, upgraded insulation, air censoring, filtering, and movement systems. It’s a complete makeover of the present energy system into a clean, modern way of living with all the power being created from natural sources."

Bitcoin prices are skyrocketing The price of bitcoin (BTC) cryptocurrency has made big gains over the last four months. In early November the price was around $35,437. In early February the price rose to $43,075 and by March 1, BTC was $62,440. That’s over a 30% gain in 1 month.
The spot bitcoin ETFs from Fidelity and Blackrock have made the top 25 EFT launches list, FBTC and IBIT on Nasdaq respectively. An Ethereum spot ETF is still awaiting SEC approval, and the ETH cryptocurrency has also gained over 30% in the last month, rising from around $2,303 to $3,435.

Hemp buildings For years, AGREEN1 has been sharing information about the benefits of hemp for a variety of products. Architects and designers are seeking ways to reduce the carbon footprint of their projects, and they are starting to embrace hemp on their road to sustainability. The beauty of using hemp products for buildings is unprecedented. Hemp provides construction materials that are insulating, fire-repellent, and mold-resistant. To top that, growing hemp plants captures carbon in the atmosphere better than trees, by twofold.
French brothers of the architectural firm, Lemoal - Lemoal used hemp profusely in the construction of the Pierre Chevet Sports Centre. Construction blocks made from hemp hurds and lime are known as "hempcrete" and the construction industry has increased access to them. The brothers designed the hempcrete walls to support the roof loads and to provide insulation properties.
Cannabis study confirms help for anxiety Now that adult-use cannabis consumption is legal in 24 US states, over 120 million people want to know how best to use it. A team of researchers at the University of Colorado, Boulder conducted a study and found that the compound CBD (cannabidiol) in cannabis does in fact lower anxiety. They recommend for those seeking a calming affect from cannabis, to choose smokable flower strains and other products with a high CBD percentage, over 24% CBD.
