🇩🇰CopenHill In some parts of the world, they're embracing "hedonistic sustainability". For example, in Copenhagen a waste-to-energy plant is combining energy production and exercise in a very unique and exciting way. When your goal is to become the world's first carbon-neutral city by 2025, like Copenhagen has, the sense of urgency is very real.
So why not make a power generating building with rock climbing on the outside and a sloping snowboarding/skiing rooftop? Why not give back to the people and offer them a place of fun activity while also supplying power? That's what "CopenHill" is all about.
Bjarke Ingels, the lead architect said, "Clean energy and skiable power plants are going be the baseline of their (his son's generation) imagination –the platform from which they will leap and propose new and wild ideas for their future." #LeaningForward
🍁A Virginia university and cannabis A new and unlikely transdisciplinary program will soon be offered at Roanoke College in Virginia. The Bachelor of Science will be awarded to students who complete this new major called the Cannabis Studies Program. The program will be offered to students this fall.
As the first college in the state to offer a degree for the cannabis industry, Roanoke College understands the complexity of the cannabis plant and the enormous potential it can offer, from wellness and financial perspectives. Pew Research identified that an overwhelming 88% of US adults want cannabis to be legal for medical or recreational use.
🌿An Arizona university and cannabis Arizona legalized adult-use cannabis in 2020. Business is doing very well in the Aztec State, and it generated about $300 million in taxes in 2023, and sales exceeded more than $1 billion total overall. The University of Arizona Health Sciences Dept. received a $1M grant in late 2022 and launched AzCANN, the Arizona Cannabis Education program.
Their goal is to educate health care professionals about cannabis and empower individuals to make healthy decisions about cannabis use based on personal responsibility and knowledge. The University of Arizona offers professional education certifications in cannabis also. This is needed in a nascent industry that is already showing great results.

🌞Here comes the solar eclipse NASA has a great video about the path of solar eclipse today. The path shows how the eclipse tracks across the US after entering from Mexico. The optimal viewing path in Mexico will be going through Mazatlán and Monterey.
When the solar eclipse enters the United States in Texas, it will travel a path that connects Uvalde and Dallas. The incredible event flows through Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indianapolis, Indiana, then on to Ohio, Buffalo, New York, Vermont and Maine. The eclipse path continues in to Quebec, Canada and Prince Edward Island.
🇩🇪Germany and cannabis It's not an April Fools prank. On April 1 adult-use cannabis became legal in Germany. Germans over 18 years old can now grow 3 plants for personal use and possess up to 25 grams, which is just under an ounce.
Adult Germans will be able to join "social clubs" to buy cannabis starting in July 2024. The social clubs cannot have more than 500 members and will require a membership permit. There are other European countries that have changed their attitudes on adult-use cannabis: Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland and several more.
Stay Curious... Who are we?
Fun question of the day:
Are you interested in the solar eclipse?
Who are we?
Are you excited about eVTOLs?
28% of respondents said YES
