🍃Plant medicine is coming back It's an annual day now... National CBD Day is August 8! The first National CBD Day was in 2018. Around 200 years ago, before the advent of "big pharma" humans used plant medicines from the beginning of time. Most have been tested for hundreds of centuries. Scroll back in your memory to when you first heard about CBD, the abbreviation for "cannabidiol". Does this definition come to mind:
CBD is a compound found in the cannabis plant, used medicinally for pain relief and the reduction of epileptic seizures. While cannabidiol is mildly psychoactive (mind-altering), its physiological effects are very different from those of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).
In this issue of AGREEN1, we will give you a few of our recommendations.
😴Cut more Zs If getting a good night's rest is becoming harder and harder, you must know how detrimental that can be. The National Institute of Health (NIH) explains how not getting enough sleep can impair the circulatory system, the heart, hormone production, immunity, metabolism, memory and thinking, and it can cause weight gain.
Our team has tried many products to better understand how they work and to determine if they are effective. We overwhelming feel that DreamerDrops gave us the best night's rest without feeling sluggish the next morning. We tried the three different product lines: gummies, drops, and the tea. The recipes are both simple and sophisticated and provide the perfect balance of peaceful calming that enabled us to quickly drift into sweet dreams and awaken refreshed and happy.
🤚Rub out pain Is your body experiencing aches and pains and your preference is to rub in relief? Seventh Sense has highly effective topical product lines that helped relieve our pain. Wait, there are seven senses? We only learned about 5 sense in school.
Proprioception is the sense of the relative position. This sense is very important as it lets us know exactly where our body parts are, how we are positioned in space and to plan our movements. Examples of our proprioception in practice include being able to clap our hands together with our eyes closed, write with a pencil and apply with correct pressure, and navigate through a narrow space.
Our team tried the Deep Relief Cream, 2000 mg and the Relax Deep Relief Muscle Balm 1000 mg for nighttime. The cream was very absorbent, had a clean smell, and removed the aches and stiffness from various parts of our bodies within minutes. Our nagging knee, calf and back pains melted away and made our daily tasks easier.
At night is seems like pain can be stronger and the throbbing sounds become louder. Thanks to the Relax balm for nighttime, we simply rubbed the product on our pain points and they vanished and allowed us to fall sleep quickly. When the pain came back and awoke me about 6 hours later, I rolled more on and went right back to sleep. The CBD, lavender, arnica, and chamomile combination really worked for us.
☕Coffee, tea and CBD Colorado arguably made the biggest splash with the passing of Amendment 20 in 2012, which legalized adult use of cannabis. One of our favorite brands is based in Colorado: Toast (search: wetoast.com) has a very pure and nuanced line of CBD products which we really love. The lovely chocolate bites called Fine & Raw are delectable. The beautifully wrapped and crafted in small batched using organic ingredients, making them a lovely gift idea. We found them to charge our spirits and give us that happy focus that makes doing everything more delightful!
We also tried the oils (tincture drops) and added them to foods we regularly eat such as coffee and yogurt. When adding the drops to hot coffee, the beverage gave us a velvety experience and who doesn't love velvet? Starbucks recently added Oleato coffee (adding olive oil to coffee) and Toast has been doing it for over 5 years. The CBD adds that calm focus that makes a busy day and piece of cake. And who doesn't love cake?
